The Clintonville Public School District is seeking a compassionate and dependable long-term substitute Special Education Teacher to support our special education students during a 12-week planned staff leave of absence, beginning approximately November 30, 2026.
The ideal candidate must be flexible, organized, and able to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction aligned with student IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, and individual learning needs.
- Maintain a safe, structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress, and communicate progress and instructional needs to appropriate staff members.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other related service providers.
- Participate in team meetings, consultations, and other required school activites.
- Follow all applicable federal and Wisconsin special education requirements, district policies, confidentiality expectations, and student safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should hold a valid DPI-issued teaching license or 3-year short-term substitute license.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of special education instructional practices, IEP requirements, and strategies for supporting students with disabilities.
