Paraeducator- Transition Academy in Berlin (1 Year)

Cromwell Public Schools is looking for Paraeducator for CCTA (Central CT Transition Academy). This is a 1 year position that ends at the end of the academic school year. The paraeducator will work with a variety of students with disabilities. This involves supporting students in all aspects of their day and the ability to work in diverse classroom settings under the direction of the special/and or regular education teachers which may include therapy activities, lifting, field trips, life skill instruction, and all other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.

Position: Paraeducator - 1 year only

Location: CCTA (Central CT Transition Academy) - Berlin, CT

Requirements: Must have a minimum of 2 years of college/Associates degree, 60 college credits, or passed the para pro test.

Description: Ability to work with children with disabilities under the supervision of the classroom and Special Education teacher.

Compensation: $23.37 per hour as outlined in the AFSCME contract , and entitled to health benefits, life insurance, and pension, 30 hours per week (30 minute unpaid lunch). Hours determined by Director. Position is a one-year only position.
