Job Summary

Riverside Local Schools is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and dynamic 7–12th Grade Foreign Language Teacher for the 2027–2028 school year . The ideal candidate will be passionate about language acquisition, cultural education, and fostering a supportive, engaging learning environment that empowers middle and high school students to achieve academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in a secondary foreign language curriculum.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to language learning and cultural appreciation.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including implementing accommodations for Students with Disabilities (SWD) and gifted learners.

Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and drive instructional decisions.

Maintain clear, consistent communication with students, parents, administration, and colleagues.

Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and district initiatives.

Qualifications

Valid State of Ohio Teaching License/Certificate for Secondary Foreign Language (7–12) in the appropriate language discipline (or ability to obtain prior to the start of the 2027–2028 school year).

Strong foundational knowledge of language pedagogy and proficiency-based instruction.

Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Successful completion of required FBI/BCI background checks.
