Rink Attendant

Dassel Cokato Public Schools is looking for additional Rink Attendants. The Rink Attendant position supports the facilities team in maintaining clean, safe, and orderly environments. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating clean spaces and are comfortable with hands-on, physical work.

Duties

Prepare and maintain ice surfaces

Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage

Monitor rink conditions and perform regular inspections

Ensure safety protocols are followed during rink operations

Set up and take down equipment for rink-related events

Assist/work with rental groups

Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor

Perform general cleaning of the facility

Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Comfortable working in rink conditions

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards

Ability to take direction and complete tasks independently or as part of a team

Physical ability to lift and carry objects (up to 50 lbs), bend, stoop, reach, and work on feet for extended periods

Good communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with others

Ability to follow schedules and work efficiently within assigned timelines

Qualifications

Previous experience is helpful but not required

Reliable transportation to and from the work location

Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
