Asst.Wrestling Coach- White Pine Middle School

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at White Pine Middle School. This temporary position is designed for someone who is passionate about youth sports and committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to develop the wrestling program and help students enhance their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and organizing wrestling practices and competitions.
- Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes on wrestling techniques, strategies, and rules of the sport.
- Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages participation and personal growth.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and promote a balance between academics and athletics.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the wrestling program.
- Support the Head Coach in conducting team meetings, parent communications, and fundraising activities.
- Attend all practices, competitions, and relevant meetings as required.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and events.
- Assist in maintaining equipment and facilities used for the wrestling program.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote overall athletic excellence at White Pine Middle School.

Requirements
- Previous experience in wrestling, either as a competitor or coach, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, other coaching staff, and school personnel.
- Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and comply with school district policies and procedures.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the wrestling season.

COMPENSATION :

Salary stipend per STEA Contract.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which may include bending, twisting, reaching, pushing or pulling, lifting and carrying materials or equipment up to approximately 40 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
