POSITION: HS/MS Lunch Paraprofessional

LOCATION: High School

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

PAY: Per Athens Educational Support Personnel Association Master Agreement

STARTING DATE: October 2026

HOURS: Approximately 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. on full days of school

Minimum Qualifications :

Strong desire to work with middle school and high school aged students

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

First Aid and CPR certification preferred

Previous experience in a similar role preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Provide active supervision of students at lunch.

Support positive student behavior using appropriate and approved intervention techniques.

Direct movements of student groups to and from the cafeteria, gym, and classrooms in a safe and orderly manner.

Report accidents to the office in a timely manner.

Ability to communicate in a positive manner with students and other staff members.

Willingness and ability to work as a cooperative team member.

Willingness to respect school confidentiality policies regarding students and their families.

Adhere to all district and board of education policies and procedures.
