Competitive Daily Pay

Daily Substitute Teacher: $140/day

Certified Daily Substitute Teacher: $150/day

District Substitute Teacher: $160/day

Certified District Substitute Teacher: $170/day

Michigan Substitute Teacher Requirements

You may qualify to substitute teach in Michigan if you have:

60 semester hours of college credit with grades of C or better from an eligible college or university OR an associate degree or higher.

Already have a valid Michigan teaching certificate? You may qualify for our higher certified substitute teacher rate of up to $170 per day.

What You'll Do

As a substitute teacher, you'll step into the classroom when a teacher is away, follow the teacher's lesson plans, support students, maintain a positive learning environment, and help keep learning moving forward.

You don't have to know everything about teaching on day one. We're looking for individuals who are dependable, professional, adaptable, and committed to supporting students.

Selected applicants will then complete the employment and onboarding process with EDUStaff, Lake Shore Public Schools' substitute staffing partner.

EDUStaff will assist candidates with the required substitute teaching authorization and other employment requirements.
