Maintenance Technician, Facilities & Grounds

Year-Round Position (260 Contract Days), Pro-Rated for Current Year

Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license with a good driving record (CDL a plus), ability to pass a BCI and FBI background check, and ability to be on call for after-hours support, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must possess strong organizational skills.

Preferences:

Post-secondary training in skilled trades (preference given to those with carpentry and/or electrical training/experience). Skill and experience in building systems (e.g., HVAC, fire suppression, security, plumbing, electrical). Multi-school or related building maintenance experience. Experience operating various equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, tractor, backhoe, scissor lift.

Responsibilities:

Perform general utility, custodial, and maintenance services as part of the Facilities & Grounds team. Must be able to work at heights up to 8 feet (step ladder). Work as a team and train other team members. Learn new systems and technologies and remain current on new and upcoming trends in facilities maintenance.
