Paraprofessional for Driving

Hours needed 10:45 am - 12:15 pm on school days.

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to support our driving program as a Paraprofessional. This part-time position is ideal for someone who is passionate about assisting individuals in developing their driving skills and enhancing their confidence behind the wheel. The successful candidate will work closely with instructors and students, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support during driving sessions.

Responsibilities
- Assist driving instructors in preparing for and conducting driving lessons.
- Provide one-on-one support to students during driving practice, ensuring safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Help students understand driving concepts, including vehicle operation, road signs, and safe driving practices.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to instructors and students.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment to boost students' confidence.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to scheduling and record-keeping for driving sessions.
- Ensure that all vehicles used for instruction are clean, maintained, and equipped with necessary safety features.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and organizational policies.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in driving instruction is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and the ability to work with individuals of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
- Basic knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
