Substitute Nurse: Special Assignment

Silver Lake Regional High School (SLRHS) is seeking a subsitute nurse to work per diem with our Allied Health Program supporting students at Bay Path Nursing Home (clinical hours).

SLRHS's Career & Technical Education Allied Health program works with a local nursing home to provide students with clinical hours as Grade 11 students work towards their CNA certification. In accordance with state-mandated ratios, these students are required to be supervised by Silver Lake staff.

The Allied Health teacher (RN license) is the on-site lead supervisior. This substitute nurse position would play a supporting role at the nursing home as students gain on-site clinical experience. This position requires a LPN or RN license. The schedule includes weekdays through the winter and spring (up to 16 days total). Substitute nurse are compensated on a per diem basis; the rate is $175 per day.
