- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus at designated stops and at the school.
- Support students with special needs by operating and securing wheelchairs or other mobility devices, including proper use of lifts and restraints.
- Secure student safety devices as required during transport.
- Help maintain discipline and promote respectful, safe behavior on the bus.
- De-escalate situations calmly and report any incidents or concerns promptly to the Transportation Supervisor.
- Assist the bus driver during emergencies, inclement weather, and other situations to ensure student safety.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor or designee.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Proficient in student management with a patient, supportive, and professional approach.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to sit for an extended period of time
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50 pounds
- Ability to kneel, crouch, bend and reach to retrieve and handle materials and supplies
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly when communicating
- Adequate vision to perform responsibilities and duties
Ability to operate a motor vehicle

- Commitment to student safety, well-being, and teamwork.
- Must maintain all required clearances, pass pre-employment drug screening, and provide proof of a negative TB test.
