Hampton School District is seeking a Middle School JV Girls Basketball coach at Hampton Academy for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is part-time, beginning November 12, 2026 - February 2, 2027.
Practices are 1 hour and 15 minutes and can be scheduled between 2:30-6:30 PM based on coach availability and gym scheduling. Most teams do not practice or play games on Fridays. Games are generally on weekdays and typically begin between 4:00–5:00 PM. There are no practices or games when school is not in session, including school vacations and holidays.
Responsibilities
Coaches are responsible for planning and running practices, coaching scheduled games, teaching basketball fundamentals and teamwork, supervising student-athletes, communicating with players and families, and following Hampton Academy athletic policies.
Basketball coaching or playing experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for dependable coaches who can provide a positive and developmentally appropriate experience for middle school athletes and work with our Varsity coaches in a collaborative manner.
