Position: 2 (Two) Full Time Paraprofessional
Summary:
The Neptune City School District is seeking a qualified paraprofessional to provide academic and behavioral support for students across multiple grade levels. The paraprofessional will work under the supervision of the school administration to support academic and social emotional/behavioral support within the learning environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent training and passing grade on the PRAXIS exam for paraprofessionals or 48 college credits.
- Strong Knowledge of Child Growth and Development
- Ability to work in an inclusive environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and administration
- Must have patience, understanding, and flexibility working with the special education community
- School schedule, 180 days a year with opportunities to attend district professional development days with additional compensation.
- 7-hour work day, 8:15am - 3:00pm
Salary/Benefits;
- Yearly Salary: starting at approximately $21,396 ($17.60 an hour), commensurate with experience based on the NCEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
