DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

OF POSITION:

Provide direct, specially-designed instruction to special education students, including those with intellectual disabilities, by providing individualized instruction on IEPs that support progress towards achieving their goals and objectives;

Collect data and track progress around student learning and individual student goals;

Collaborate and communicate closely with general education teachers, special education service providers, school psychologist, paraeducators, and parents/caretakers;

Ability to provide support and guidance and support to paraeducators to work towards students’ IEP goals and objectives;

Ability to communicate regularly with all members of the special education team, including parents and caregivers to ensure that students are making progress;

Experience with de-escalation strategies and willingness to be Safety Care trained;

Ability to be flexible, have a positive attitude, and be a lifelong learner is necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Massachusetts DESE certification as Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities or K-8 Moderate Disabilities

SALARY:

$315.78 per day

October 13, 2026 through December 11, 2026 with possibility to extend the position
