School Nurse or Medical Aide

Summary
We are seeking an RN, LPN, or EMT ot join our team as a School Nurse or Medical Aide. This part-time position (8:00 - 2:15, Monday through Friday) is essential in providing a safe and healthy environment for our students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for addressing the medical needs of students, promoting health education, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and maintain student health records, including immunization status and health screenings.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to address student health concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized health office, ensuring all medical supplies are stocked and up-to-date.
- Stay informed about current health trends and regulations affecting school health practices.
- Provide support and guidance to students regarding personal health and wellness issues.

Requirements
- Valid and appropriate Indiana license.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health regulations and best practices in school health.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
