Brillion High School has an opening for a library paraprofessional. This is a 9-month position aligned with the school calendar and the school bell schedule. It is 37.5 hours per week. We are looking for someone who can continue to grow and develop our library, as well as engage with and supervise students during study halls. Reports To: Library Media Specialist/Principal
- Perform clerical, filing, and typing functions in school libraries while cataloging, processing circulation, and running reports.
- Keep the library clean, organized, inviting, and engaging to staff, students, and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the librarian and/or principal.
- Supervise students in study halls and as directed.
- Engage with students and staff to encourage library use.
- Assist in the lunch program at the cash register during one lunch period per day
Minimum Qualifications:
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrate proficiency with word processing, email, and bookkeeping.
- Have an interest in learning the library functions within a school, including cataloging, circulating, programming, purchasing, and interlibrary loans.
- Have an interest in and an understanding of students.
- Be skillful in working with staff, students, and the public.
- Be familiar with A.V. equipment, computers, and printers.
