Part-time School Social Worker (SPED) Job Posting
Location: Sejong Academy www.sejongacademy.org
School Year: 2026–2027
Schedule: approx. 16-20 hours/week
Position Summary
Sejong Academy is seeking a qualified School Social Worker to provide social-emotional and behavioral support to students receiving special education services (PreK–12). The social worker will collaborate with the special education team to support students’ needs as outlined in their IEPs.
Responsibilities

Provide direct social work services (individual and group) based on IEP goals
-
Conduct social/emotional assessments and contribute to evaluations
-
Participate in IEP meetings and support goal development
-
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
-
Support behavior interventions and crisis response
-
Maintain accurate documentation and service logs (including MA billing)
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW preferred)
-
Valid Minnesota Social Work license (LSW, LGSW, LICSW, etc.)
-
Experience working in a school setting preferred
-
Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Other duties assigned by Head of School or director of Special Education
