STARTING SALARY: Current Entry Salary (Higher rates available with prior experience)
Bachelors: $59,136
Masters: $63,352
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:
? Candidates should have Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
? NYS license as an Occupational Therapist.
? Experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with disabilities.
? Strong communication and collaborations skills.
? Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
? Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate the Ability to:
• Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
• Address sensory, motor, and self-help skills to promote participation in educational activities
• Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and document outcomes
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals; Maintain accurate records and comply with all legal and ethical standards
