Full Time
The School District of Bowler is seeking an Alternative Education Teacher for the 2027-2028 School Year. Our alternative education teacher must be able to empower at-risk students through adapted curricula, credit recovery, and behavioral support. This role focuses on encouraging and supporting students with their academic progress, social-emotional growth, and transition planning for post-secondary life.
Key responsibilities include teaching various courses using modified and competency-based learning plans as well as incorporating GEDO#2 and other virtual courses. Additional responsibilities include addressing social, emotional and behavioral challenges using trauma-informed care and guiding students through transition planning including employment and post-secondary goals.
The ability to assist with extra or co-curricular activities is a plus.
