The School District of Wisconsin Dells is seeking a full-time Special Education Teaching Assistant to join our team at Wisconsin Dells Elementary School. In this role, you will be an important part of our special education program, working in our Intellectual Disabilities (ID) classroom and providing individualized support to students with higher needs.
This position is ideal for someone who is patient, compassionate, and passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and independently. You will work closely with our special education teacher and school team to provide hands-on support, build positive relationships, and help students successfully engage in their school day.

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday
7:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with special needs, a minimum of an Associate’s Degree, or meet the standards to be considered a highly qualified paraprofessional (this can be achieved with the district). Must be able to work in a team environment. All Teaching assistants in the SDWD are required to obtain a special education teaching assistant license through the WDPI (this can be completed upon hiring). All candidates must be willing and able to provide personal, academic, behavioral, and health care needs for individuals with disabilities.
