As emerging members of the professional teaching community, student observers and clinical teachers are expected to uphold the high standards of Prosper ISD. Upon entering the campus, you should transition into a role of professional responsibility. To ensure a successful placement, please adhere to the following:

Knowledge of Policy: Acquaint yourself with the Faculty Handbook and school calendar to understand the rules governing your specific campus, and to ensure your actions align with school procedures.

Professionalism & Boundaries: Present a professional image (dress, conduct, and communication) and maintain a clear distinction between yourself and the students you serve. It is essential to establish clear professional boundaries, recognizing your role as a mentor and educator rather than a peer to the students.

Reliability: Honor all time commitments and deadlines with strict punctuality.

Mentorship: Proactively seek and implement feedback from your cooperating teacher and program supervisor.
