Leave Replacement Middle School Special Education Teacher
Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification required
Anticipated dates: November 10, 2026 through February 12, 2027
JOB FUNCTION: To provide an approved education program and establish a
class environment that fosters learning and personal growth;
to help pupils develop skills, attitudes and knowledge
needed to provide a good foundation for continued
education; and to maintain good relationships with parents
and other staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate or eligibility
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
SALARY: Following the established EHCEA Salary Guide ranging from $61,772 through $94,048
BENEFITS: Sick, Personal, Family Illness, and Bereavement Days are prorated to the length of the assignment.
Not eligible for Medical, Prescription, Optical, or Dental Benefits.
