Tri-County Jr/Sr High School Night Custodian

The purpose of the Full-Time Custodian position is to maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept environment for students, staff, and visitors, per the standards and guidelines outlined in the Tri-County Schools Support Staff Handbook.

Qualifications:

A minimum requirement for a high school diploma or GED.

Previous custodial experience is preferred, but not required.

Desired Skills:

Strong communication skills, strong work ethic, physical strength, friendly, ability to adapt, and maintain confidentiality.

Some standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Lift 10‐40 pounds frequently, 40‐75 pounds occasionally, and more than 75 pounds infrequently.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Key Performance Responsibilities:

Assists with the preparation and cleanup of special evening events (e.g., games, concerts, programs).

Adheres to proper cleaning methods, storage, proper care, and disposal of equipment and supplies.

Perform all scheduled cleaning duties as required in a timely and effective manner

Maintain and update as needed MSDS records

The primary responsibility of securing the building daily

General cleaning of classrooms, offices, and designated areas

Inform the building administrator of any building and grounds/maintenance concerns.

Possibly assist with snow removal and salting when needed

General repair of desk, chairs, and lockers

Perform other duties as assigned by the administration and/or supervisor
