- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Available for overtime as needed
- Ability to perform manual tasks including climbing, stooping, carrying supplies and equipment, and handling chemicals
- Ability to successfully complete a preemployment functional physical, fingerprint based background check, and Employment History Review
- Mowing lawns, snow removal, landscaping, aerating, seeding and fertilizing.
- Uses and maintains mowers, snow plows and tractors, including gas and electric powered equipment.
- Evaluates exterior/grounds maintenance needs of District buildings – notifies Director of Operations with concerns for repair or maintenance.
- Repairs miscellaneous school equipment.
- Completes work orders as received by building administrators and Director of Operations.
- Responds to emails/workorders in a timely, professional manner.
- Installs playground equipment and inspects equipment on a biannual basis – repairs as needed.
- Prepares softball and baseball diamonds as scheduled or needed
- Standardizes lawn/landscaping procedures and playground inspections.
- Looks for ways to streamline lawn/landscaping/grounds in general in regards to the efficiency of the whole district.
- Navigates AESOP system for use of your vacation, personal, sick, and comp time.
- Performs such other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
