Substitute Teacher (certified)

Position: Substitute Teacher (Certified)

Summary:

To facilitate students learning the designated subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women; motivate and establish effective rapport with students; establish good relationships with parents and colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach district-approved curriculum.

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.

Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media

Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior, maintains discipline and utilizes appropriate classroom management techniques.

Cooperate and collaborate with other staff members.

Follow district policy, guidelines, regulations and procedures, as well as, maintain confidentiality according to law and policy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate.

Successfully establish and maintain effective relationships.

Effective oral and written communication.

Required Certification and Documentation to be Submitted by Applicant:

PA teaching certificate

Official Transcripts

Background Clearances

And other documents as directed by the school district

Pay Rate: $165 per day
