Grade Three Teacher (Jan 4-Mar 7)

GRADE THREE TEACHER - (JAN 4 - MARCH 7, 2027)

Oak Ridge Schools is seeking a dedicated third grade teacher to provide engaging instruction, support student growth, and create a positive classroom environment.

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

Demonstrate knowledge of child development and an understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of third grade learners.

Establish a supportive learning environment with effective classroom management.

Implement Behavior Improvement Plans as applicable.

Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.

Use effective instructional methods and differentiate instruction to meet students’ learning needs.

Organize and plan instruction aligned with applicable Tennessee academic standards.

Evaluate instructional effectiveness and monitor student progress to guide instruction.

Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.

Demonstrate knowledge of third grade subject areas.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal/Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

Valid Tennessee teaching license with an appropriate endorsement for teaching third grade.

Teaching experience preferred.
