The Iowa-Grant School District Board of Education seeks an exceptional superintendent candidate as an educational leader and trusted partner to lead the school district, to inspire teachers and staff, and to foster the district's goal of outstanding accomplishments in student achievement.
Description:
Iowa-Grant School District was formed in 1959, consolidating the towns of Livingston, Cobb, Montfort, Linden, Mifflin and Rewey, along with the surrounding townships. It is a rural public school comprised of two buildings, located in the Mifflin Township just northeast of Livingston, WI. The district educates nearly 640 students from grades 4K to 12, with a 99 percent graduation rate. The Iowa-Grant School District values dedication and experience with a majority of teachers and staff currently employed for more than 5 years. The district offers full-day kindergarten for four and five year olds, academic and technology professionals and some of the best fine arts programs in southwestern Wisconsin. Teachers, staff and community members are active coaches enabling Iowa-Grant to offer students a healthy balance of both sporting and non-sporting extracurricular activities. There is a strong community support from an engaged Parent Teacher Organization, Booster Club and Music Club, along with generous financial support from various businesses and individual donors. The district is student-centered with a focus and emphasis on the whole child -- safe, supported, engaged, challenged and healthy.
Iowa-Grant School District is located just 15 minutes from Dodgeville, WIsconsin, 15 minutes from Platteville, and an easy 40-minute drive to Dubuque, IA or an hour from Madison, WI.
