Full-Time School Nutrition Manager

The Dell Rapids School District has an opening for a Full-Time School Nutrition Manager for the 26-27 school year.

STARTING WAGE : $20.00/hour

QUALIFICATIONS : Ability to lift heavy objects of at least 40 pounds, to stand for up to 4 hours, and to work in hot temperatures.

SUPERVISES : Assists the School Nutrition Director in the supervision of School Nutrition Workers. Conducts supervision of staff in the director’s absence.

WORK YEAR : Full-time during school year; 8 hours per day

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assists the School Nutrition Director in supervising, managing, and coordinating Nutrition Programs and department staff.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws/regulations pertaining to USDA’s Child Nutrition Programs.

Provides training, leadership, and coaching to Nutrition personnel in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings.

Manages and coordinates the effective use of Nutrition software and special diets.

Performs prep work, including preparing food menu items, setting up serving/dining areas, filling milk coolers, and stocking food items.

Serve students, staff, and guests in a pleasant, efficient manner.

Clean work area, equipment, and assigned areas of responsibility to ensure proper sanitation of all food preparation, serving, and storage areas.

These are general duties; other duties may be required on any given day as needed.
