Special Education Teacher

Location: Secret City Academy

Contract Days: 140
Assignment Dates: ASAP
Salary: Paid in accordance with the Teacher Salary Schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Oak Ridge Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher. The teacher will provide individualized instruction, manage special education services, and collaborate with staff and families to support student learning and progress.

Demonstrate knowledge of subject areas relevant to the assignment.

Provide special education case management.

Schedule meetings, develop and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and accurately document progress toward IEP goals.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal/Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and an active Tennessee teaching license with Special Education endorsement code 460 appropriate for the assignment required.

Teaching experience preferred.

Special education case management experience preferred.
