Middle School Special Education Teacher w/ Content Specialization
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid New Jersey instructional certificate with Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) endorsement required. Candidate must also hold an appropriate underlying instructional endorsement authorizing instruction in the assigned grade/content area(s), preferably Middle School Mathematics (Grades 5–8) and Middle School English Language Arts (Grades 5–8), or other NJDOE-authorized equivalent certification such as the legacy Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) credential.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of and experience in using best instructional practices to implement and assess New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
REPORTS TO: Chief School Administrator
EMPLOYMENT: 10-month tenure track position. Salary and benefits per Riverton Education Association Contract. The position starts on 1/4/2027.
